A World Premiere Presentation @ Detroit School of Arts

‘Homiez’ and ‘Gearheadz’

DETROIT, MI, Wednesday, November 11, 2015, You’re encouraged to attend 'DEBUT DAY 15', a world premiere of two extraordinary featured films, entitled ‘Homiez’ and ‘Gearheadz’.   Get ready to explore the elements that make a successful movie based on real life challenges of young black males and their unique journey’s in Detroit, Michigan.

These films  are written, produced and directed by Christian Davis, a.k.a. Roscoe Davis, a native Detroiter, Detroit Public Schools – Detroit School of Arts  (DSA - 2010) and Wayne State University (WSU - 2015) alumnus, as well as, former junior reporter and videographer for Detroit Entertainers & Musicians News (Detroit EM News, 2009 – 2010) www.detroitemnews.com.

As Christian shared in a recent interview with Detroit EM News, “I owe DSA and the students.  That’s why I return, during and after graduating from WSU.  I wanted to show students that it’s okay to dream and make your dreams a reality.  I am also really excited about these two gorilla films creating a lot of buzz on social media.”    

Beverly Morrison-Green, Program Director, DSA and one of Christian Davis’s mentors extended the invitation to host the movie première at DSA.  She also welcomed DSA alumnus; Arnecia Jones & Charles B. Keyz and Saxappel Music Verzell.  The presentation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 with a  very special musical tribute to DSA alum and 90’s R&B superstar - ‘Aaliyah’.  The show begins promptly at 7:00 p.m.  General admission:  $10.00.
